Data deletion instructions
Delete your account yourself (instant)
- Sign in with Facebook.
- Open Delete my account (also linked at the bottom of your dashboard).
- Type DELETE and confirm.
What gets deleted
- your profile, name, picture link and email address;
- vouches you received, and vouches you gave — these disappear from other traders' profiles;
- deals you recorded or confirmed — they also disappear from the other trader's profile;
- vouch requests you sent, and requests sent to you.
What we keep
If our team has been reviewing your account, we keep the review case (including any reports and our notes) for 2 years after it's closed. If your Facebook account has been blocked from signing up again, we keep a minimal, scrambled (hashed) record of it so the block stays in place — deleting your account doesn't lift a block. If you delete your account while it's being reviewed, we may stop the same Facebook account signing up again until the review is finished. See our privacy policy for details.
Deleted data is removed from our backups within a short period (normally 7 days). Search engines may keep copies of your old public profile for a while; they update these over time, and we can help you ask them to remove them.
If you can't sign in
Email support@vouchtrader.com with your name and your VouchTrader profile link (or the email address on your account) and ask us to delete your data. We'll confirm it's your account and delete it promptly, and within one month at the latest. If your account is paused or removed, it can't be deleted from your dashboard: email us in the same way and we'll delete it for you.
Removing VouchTrader in Facebook
Removing VouchTrader in Facebook (Settings & privacy → Settings → Apps and websites) stops Facebook sharing any further data with us, but does not delete the data we already hold. Facebook will show you a link to this page — follow the steps above to delete your account, or email us if you can't sign in.
